The Demographic Intelligence Data Application (d-IDA) is an internal project to develop a web based application for conducting population surveys and census. It is to be developed on the open source PHP and MySQL technologies. The objective of the web application is to allow organisations to design a web based questionnaire, gather information from individuals and households and other organisations, and be able to generate graphical and statistical analysis. Includes a taxonomy of multilingual ontologies, automated content tagging, time-series marking, flash chart queries. A tool for people who need to analyse unstructured textual content. The web based application is developed using open source Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP technologies. Subscribed users can access the i-IDA Knowledge Base.
